The Citadel Lattice

"Structure as Sanctuary."

For centuries, the Citadel stood as the guardian of the city, a fortress of stone where geometry was used as a shield. The Citadel Lattice draws its strength from this architectural legacy.

This rug moves beyond the traditional 2D weave, featuring a bold, raised 'rope' pattern that sits high above a tightly woven grey base. The interlocking diamond motifs recall the ancient Mashrabiya screens.

The Details

The Architecture

A striking Modern 3D effect. The geometric lattice is raised like a relief carving, creating deep shadows.

The Palette

Fortress Grey. A cool, sophisticated silver-grey that mimics weathered granite.

The Vibe

Imposing, secure, and highly sophisticated. It anchors a room with the quiet authority of stone, perfect for minimalist or industrial spaces.

The Heritage

Inspired by the interlocking defensive structures of the Cairo Citadel. Woven with a thick gauge yarn to ensure structural integrity and longevity.

Commission Notes

"The raised 'rope' lattice technique is an exercise in three-dimensional weaving. The artisan must carefully float the thick wool over the flat weave base, requiring extreme tension control to ensure the geometric grid remains perfectly symmetrical. You are commissioning a textile sculpture."
